Hello all, My name is Chris Durden and I'm a Lieutenant with the City of Woodstock Fire & Rescue in Woodstock, GA. I have been in the fire service for 28 years with a heavy background in Technical Rescue (no pun intended). A lot of the vehicle extrication training we get does not include the new material automobiles are being made from today along with the new techniques being utilized to disentangle trapped occupants from these vehicles. I hope to broaden my "extrication knowledge" with this class and classes in the future and take some this training to the members of my Department.

My name is Rob Good. I am a Captain with Spruce Grove Fire Services in Alberta, Canada. I am a paramedic of 20yrs and in fire services for 13. We do very little vehicle extrication so it has been difficult to maintain skills and knowledge. I found this through social media and thought I would take it as some of the Twitter posts have been interesting. I have also encouraged my platoon to sign up as this month, our new training officer is focusing on vehicle ex.

My name is Jim. I have been with the local volunteer fire department in Hayfork, California for 5 years. We are a rural department with a small membership. Quite often when we need to use our extrication equipment, we are understaffed. I would like to develop more confidence about exactly where to start and how to proceed, especially concerning battery operated vehicles.
